Ready for some animal fun? Ekeberg Husdyrparken is a great place for your children to get in touch with the nature and see, touch and smell real animals. It's super close to the city and you can get there easily with public transport (trikk 18/19, bus 34/74).
The animal farm is located within Ekebergparken, which means you can also use the trip to go for a stroll before or after your visit to the farm. There's a café and a kiosk and you'll find many picnic tables around, in case you want to stop for lunch or snacks. The ticket to visit the animals costs 50NOK and is free for children under two.
There are also a few nice playgrounds in the farm, one of them with really fun tractors and trampolines. Fun for all ages guaranteed!
We went there this weekend and Thea really liked it. She just turned one, so she was not suuuper excited, but she definitely did enjoy it. I've been wanting to go there for months now. I think it's really important to expose children to animals early so they get used to them and are not scared when they grow up. It's also a great way to teach them to have respect towards nature and other living beings.
Why it's so cool?
