Ok, it’s not a secret… I’m on a constant hunt for children friendly plans these days. I was already before my second daughter arrived, but I am even more now that the entertainment demands at home have doubled. So when I finally discover a cool activity I can do with both, I get this sudden Super Mom feeling followed by a big and proud “YEAH!!!” .
I got that feeling a few weeks ago. I found this puppet theatre online and thought we could give it a try. I didn't have huge hopes since my last theatre experience with both girls hadn't been that great, but I thought I’d still give it a try. Aaaand... I am SO glad I did!
Please, let me introduce you to Anne. A devote and super creative puppeteer who opens her cozy puppet house in Frognerparken to the youngest nearly every single day of the week. Her puppets are really creative and super cute and she is just fantastic with them.
She has different ongoing shows targeting children of different ages. We went to see Molefonken, which is for kids from 1-6. But there are other shows targeting a bit older ages, too. This gives parents with more than one child the option of taking them all along to the same show, which I think is great!
The puppet house itself is a cute little cottage with a lovely outdoor area with tables. Anne sets it up on a really nice way, so that kids can paint after the show or eat their lunch boxes. There is also a kindergarten yard right next to the puppet house with a slide, swings and other fun toys. Perfect to release some energy after the play!
And last but not least, there is a series of workshops she runs such as puppet making for kids or a “teddy course” for adults.
Check the upcoming shows here and book your tickets.

If you’ve been to any of her shows or decide to go, please let us know how it went and what you liked best!
Happy August :)
